-dejalenae-: watching “the bible” on lifetime last night reminded me that there was life (only in the most literal sense, of course) before Jesus and that their stories can actually teach us something in this age so this morning i’m in exodus with moses and God’s chosen people and i’m so disappointed. /// God delivered them from slavery, parted the red sea for them to cross through, then let it swallow up all of their enemies, He supplied water from rocks, and food from the sky, yet they were still faithless. God proved Himself to them so many times when they should’ve been trying to prove themselves worthy enough to Him. and that is the exact reason why they never entered into the promised land. they were never supposed to die in the desert. the desert was where they were supposed to learn. but they didn’t believe God could get them to the land flowing of milk & honey so they started calling hell home. moral: have faith! God has brought us all through so much and He can take us further than we can imagine if we just trust in Him. in fact, God wants better for us than we want for ourselves. stop thinking that how it is now is how it will always be. this is not how the cookie crumbles! sure, a piece or two has been broken off but everything happens for a reason and God will make beauty arise from the brokenness. hold out for the promise land! #faith #god #bible
